In November 2016, the government asked the NIC to conduct a new study on how technology can improve infrastructure productivity.
New technologies in areas like digitalisation, the internet of things, big data, and artificial intelligence will create opportunities for improving the way we manage infrastructure.
So the NIC will explore which emerging technologies have the most potential for improving infrastructure productivity, and to make recommendations to government on what actions it should consider to support deployment.
The terms of reference for the study can be found here.
The final report will be published by the end of 2017.
